Summer Camp talent show
The rain didn’t stop the kids at the Three Rivers Summer Camp in Gulfport from shining bright at their annual talent show.
Children ages five to 12 put on their dancing shoes to showcase their talents in front of friends and parents. The kids did their best Michael Jackson impressions, dance routines, and solo singing performances.
The winners will advance to the next level and compete against other camps on the Coast on Thursday or Friday. Three Rivers Summer Camp Director Venita Goins said, “I just love being around the kids. I just love being able to be of service to them even during the summer outside of school. Some of them come in knowing children already. Some don’t know anybody, but before they leave camp, they make a lot of friends. They try to get along with each other and meet new people.”
The fun doesn’t end with the talent show as a bunch of summer camps will meet at Jones Park Tuesday for a day full of activities.
