LA Dodger’s first round selection choses MSU

Up in the Metro, some big news from Brandon’s J.T. Ginn, who’s turning down a chance to play with the Los Angeles Dodgers to go to Mississippi State.

As the 30th overall pick in the first round, Ginn had a recommended slot signing bonus of more than two million dollars.

In a Twitter post made yesterday, Ginn said it was his lifelong dream to play for the Bulldogs and perhaps even more so after their surprise run to Omaha.

As a senior, Ginn dazzled for Brandon High, posting a 0.36 ERA for the entire season.
