Grease build-up causes fire at Krystal

Around 10 this morning, firefighters in Pascagoula received a report of a fire at a Krystal restaurant on Denny Avenue.

The fire was caused by grease build-up in the restaurant’s suppression system. Neither the manager on duty or the employees working were harmed during the fire. Pascagoula Fire Department Captain Will Hunter said, “We’ve been in the salvage and overhaul operation checking for any further extension of the fire. We finished that phase of it. Now it’s moving into the investigation phase.”
