Healthy meal prep service now offered at Coast Roast Coffee

You can now have a healthy meal with your mid-day cup of coffee at a local coffee shop in Gulfport.

Coast Roast Coffee in downtown Gulfport is now selling packaged to-go meals from Prep by KUG, a healthy meal-prep business in Ocean Springs. The meals offered are all nutritional and weighed out into healthy portion sizes for the public.

Coast Roast Coffee is now carrying a selection of three different salads including a cobb, power, and chicken almond salad, as well as a selection of two breakfast bowls. Coast Roast Coffee Manager Ian Phillips said, “Our goals are humble. We want to offer Prep by KUG to people who don’t necessarily want to commute to Ocean Springs. It offers a way for it be accessible to you there. We do have freezers at our locations in Long Beach and Gulfport so we will be able to carry larger quantities if someone wants to use the meal prep service just for balancing their diets for their everyday lives.”

Phillips tells News 25 the meal prep selection is expected to be revamped depending on the season.
