MSU baseball garners no. 4 ranking

When Mississippi State entered the NCAA Baseball Tournament, the Bulldogs weren’t nationally ranked by an publication, but it’s amazing what a run to Omaha can do.

Today, the Diamond Dawgs took home their third highest ranking in the final polls in program history. MSU was tabbed as high as number 4 by the likes of Collegiate Baseball, D1 Baseball.com, and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

That result trails only a number three finish in 1985 and a clean sweep of the number  2 spot following the 2013 run as national runners up. The Bulldogs started the season as high as number 12.
