Harrison County fatal accident

One woman is dead following a crash in Harrison County Thursday evening on Highway 53.

According to officials, the accident happened near Lizana School Road around 6:45 when 22-year-old Max Taylor attempted to make a left turn onto the highway and was struck by a Waste Management Mack truck traveling south.

The driver of the truck was flown to University of South Alabama Medical Center with serious injuries. Taylor was pronounced dead on the scene.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
