MSU center fielder named All-South Region second-team

Jake Mangum was tabbed second-team All-South Region earlier today by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings.

That might be a little too low as the junior center fielder leads the SEC with 97 hits. He also leads the Bulldogs in hits as well as batting average, runs scored, doubles, total bases, and stolen bases.

He’ll be staying in Starkville for his senior season after being selected by the New York Mets in the 32nd Round of last week’s first-year player draft.
