Democratic hopeful addresses voters in Biloxi
This morning in Biloxi, a Congressional hopeful addressed constituents to begin his campaign for November’s general election.
Twenty-six year-old Moss Point native Jeramey Anderson is up for election as a state representative for the 4th District of Mississippi, a seat currently held by his opposition, incumbent Republican Stephen Palazzo.
Anderson is currently in his second term in the Mississippi House of Representatives. He believes that position has prepared him to take on a congressional role in the nation’s capital. “I don’t want to beat a dead horse with partisan politics. We see that doesn’t work. Am I a Democrat? Yes, but at the end of the day, no matter what the issue, I want to do what’s best for Mississippians. That’s my whole purpose for running. Democrat, Republican, Independent, what’s best for Mississippi and the folks that live here and call this place home.”
Anderson and Palazzo will be on the ballot on November 6th. You can get all the information on state elections at sos.ms.gov.
