Construction accident at Patio 44 in Gulfport

A construction accident in Gulfport puts one man in the hospital.

Part of Patio 44’s building frame collapsed on a victim while working in a bucket truck at the construction site. Once firefighters arrived at the scene, another side of the frame collapsed.

Gulfport Fire Chief Mike Beyerstedt says the victim was going in and out of consciousness and has a fractured ankle. The victim’s injuries are considered non-critical.
