Three Arrested In Pascagoula In Relation To Shots Fired Incident Near Private School

Three men have been arrested following yesterday’s incident near a Pascagoula private school.

On March 21st, dispatchers received a call of a disturbance in the area of Martin Road. Officers patrolling the area heard shots being fired. They quickly arrived on scene. The Leap of Faith Private School and the El Taller Maestro Church were put on lockdown while officers secured the building and safely evacuated the teachers and students.

Today authorities made arrests in connection with this incident. John Villafana-Mendez, aged 23, was arrested for a drug related indictment. Luiz Sanchez-Colon, aged 30, was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm. John Delgado, aged 27, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance enhanced with a firearm.

A large amount of cocaine was found in Delgado’s car as well as what was believed to be ecstasy.
