Pascagoula-Gautier School District meets with city officials
With the Jackson Elementary drainage issues cited by the Pascagoula-Gautier School District earlier this week, they were able to meet with city officials for the first time today to discuss the topography and survey the campus.
They were able to work out a plan to keep the school open for the 2018-2019 school year. Assistant City Manager Frank Corder explains the engineering and planning departments were able to see the initial review of what the school district is considering to alleviate their issues with the property.
The departments plan to do everything in the city’s power to ensure the school’s staff and students see the results of improved drainage on the property before the next school year.
