Permit issued to demolish old courthouse building in Biloxi

The Biloxi City’s Community Development Department issued a permit today, valued at $65,000 to DCD Construction.

City officials say this permit will reflect the demolition of the old Federal Courthouse Building on MLK Boulevard between Lameuse and Main streets.

The Ocean Springs construction firm is expected to begin demolition on April 23^rd and should have the site cleared about 45 days later, depending on the weather.

The site was recently purchased by Community Bank. They have not formally announced plants, but have engaged to design a new building for the site.
