The 2018 Jolly McCarty Memorial kicks off
It’s Jolly Time! The Bacot McCarty Foundation is getting ready for this year’s big memorial golf tournament in Jackson County.
Volunteers and sponsors backing the annual fundraising event filled the Magnolia Ballroom in Pascagoula for a kick-off breakfast. A $175,000 check was presented by officials from the IP Casino Resort, part of the casino’s annual donation.
The Jolly is the Bacot McCarty Foundation’s biggest event, helping support nonprofits all over the Coast. Bacot McCarty Foundation Executive Director Todd Trenchard said, “Perfect time to announce this year’s event. It’s become the signature event of Jackson County and one of the best in all of South Mississippi. As you can tell, all these volunteers coming together all for one cause, there’s just nothing else like it.”
The golf tournament celebrates the life of Jolly P. McCarty and will be held May 19th at Shell Landing in Jackson County. Golfing spots are sold out, but if you want to give back to the community by volunteering for the tournament, sign up by contacting the Bacot McCarty Foundation.
