2018 Southern Miss Jazz and Blues Fest

While some locals looked for Easter eggs over the weekend, others looked for musical entertainment at Southern Miss 2018 Jazz and Blues Festival.

The tenth annual festival had a variety of performances by popular musicians along the Gulf Coast with Southern Miss alumni Hall of Famer Tom “Bones” Malone as the headliner. This event was free and open to the public with fun activities for the entire family.

USA Dance Chapter Member Karen Adams tells News 25 this is her third time attending the festival, hoping to promote social dancing with one of her favorite bands. “We are here at the festival because we love the Coast Big Band. They always put out a dance floor for us. So, we are out here to do some dancing to some actual big band music.”

Adams and other USA Dance members even encouraged people in attendance to join the fun and dance with them.
