Spring Southern Region Military and Civilian Job Fair

Hundreds of people came to the Biloxi Civic Center today dressed to impress with hopes of landing a job.
The Governor’s Job Fair Network of Mississippi held the Spring Southern Region Military and Civilian Job Fair with more than 70 employers on hand. There was something for every skill level, everything from sales and management to the medical field and 18-wheeler truck driving positions.
The fair was open to everyone, but geared mostly towards veterans and military transitioning in to civilian life. Governor’s Job Fair Network of Mississippi Director Adam Todd said, “We really want to target those who have served us so well. We want to be able to serve them. This is one environment and this is one way that we can do that. The businesses that do attend this event know that they’re going to see a multitude of military personnel and people exiting the military and they now that with that type of individual they’re going to have someone that is very dedicated and will show up to work and do a good job, not only once or twice, but every time they’re here.”
The Governor’s Job Fair Network travels all around Mississippi each year to provide these opportunities to locals all over the state. The next stop is Greenville.
