New Crime Stoppers kiosk at Highway 67 DMV in Harrison County

The Highway 67 DMV is now giving out more than just new licenses as a new Crime Stoppers kiosk has information on wanted criminals.

Anyone can use the kiosk to find out who is wanted or even get information on road closures, weather reports, and local nonprofits.

This is the fourth kiosk of its kind to be installed in Harrison and Jackson counties, what’s more, it was paid for by seized drug money.

State Representative Kevin Felsher, who was there for the ribbon cutting, says these kiosks are bad news for wanted criminals. MS Coast Crime Stoppers Coordinator Lori Massey said, “Law enforcement officers will tell us that individuals have seen people on the kiosk, whether they’re calling us or calling law enforcement directly, and saying ‘Hey, I just saw this person on the kiosk, and they’re wanted, and I’m going to give the information on where they’re located right now.'”

The three other kiosks are at the Pascagoula Highway 90 Walmart, Gulfport Highway 49 Walmart, and the Biloxi Walmart.
