St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations in Ocean Springs

Businesses in Ocean Springs are already enjoying St. Patrick’s Day festivities.

Right now, more than 40 businesses are participating in the city’s uptown, downtown, and all-around celebration, offering specials for shoppers.

The celebration ends at nine tonight.

The OS Chamber says events like this help attract new businesses to the area. Last year alone the city welcomed more than 50 new businesses.

Oren Zweig, the owner of Lil Market Deli and Bagelry has been operating in the growing downtown area for the past four years.

He loves the support he gets from the community, especially during fun events like today. “If I had another business, this is where I would want to go, it’s booming right now everything is giving, everything is working. There’s plenty of people coming to the area. It’s not about competition. All the businesses bring in more people. It’s a collaboration. So, it’s really nice.”

The festivities don’t stop today in Ocean Springs. There is also a pub crawl on Saturday from 4 p.m. until 10.
