Man arrested after fatal crash in Lucedale

A man was arrested Sunday for fleeing the scene of an accident that left three minors dead and three injured in George County.
After crashing into a sign in front of Mississippi Furniture Warehouse in Lucedale Saturday afternoon, authorities say 23-year-old Jesse Edward Dickerson fled the scene on foot, leaving behind the wrecked 2003 KIA Optima with six passengers.
Two girls, ages six and nine, and one 16-year-old boy died as a result of the accident. Another child and a man were injured. A woman was critically injured. None of the passengers were wearing seat belts.
Dickerson was found yesterday afternoon and charged with four counts of leaving the scene of a crash causing serious bodily injury and death. He is being held at the George County Jail without bond, pending an initial appearance in court.
