Robotics Adventures at St. Stanislaus
St. Stanislaus College in Bay St. Louis hosted their first Robotics Adventure.
The school is usually a catholic day and boarding school for boys in grades seventh through 12th, but tonight elementary and middle school students from across the Coast had fun in an interactive robot experience.
The school partnered with Infinity Science Center and U.S. Naval Research Laboratory to help facilitate the STEM activities.
Five different robotic stations were set up for students to learn, interact, and compete in different challenges. St. Stanislaus Assistant Principal Nancy Artigues said, “Our own robotics program is thriving, especially with our younger students. That is a natural bridge to everything we want to do in our science classes. We want our students to be confident in their ability to think. We want to be able to work together to create things and to solve problems and that’s exactly what’s happening in robotics.”
The event was sold out and they hope to make it an annual learning experience for younger students on the Coast.
