Take me out to the new stadium at MGCCC Perkinston Campus

There’s another reason to sing “take me out to the ballgame” and that’s to visit Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s new baseball stadium.
Today they held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new facility and the field, which is named after former Baseball Coach Kenneth ‘Curly’ Farris, who coached the Bulldogs from 1963 to 1990 with 27 consecutive winning seasons.
This new $3 million project has over a thousand seating capacity with new dugouts and will soon get outside batting cages.
MGCCC President Dr. Mary Graham says it’s a great asset to the campus and facilities like this matter to the team and the community. “As we’ve improved our facilities one step at a time, our teams have moved into national rankings. Our coaches are recruiting better players, the talent is phenomenal. Again, students are calling us to come to Gulf Coast. The recruiting process has been very enjoyable now because they want to play in these world class facilities.”
The Bulldogs next game home game will be Tuesday, March 28th at 3 p.m. against rivals Pearl River Community College.
