2017 Coast Observer Covey Awards

Hundreds of people who work hard to provide the best Gulf Coast experience were honored this evening at the 2017 Covey Awards.
Tonight’s award show featured over 45 different categories such as best restaurant, best nightclub, best casino, and so forth. The red carpet style event started back in 2003 and is hosted by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Observer.
This year drew in over 600 people. Coast Observer Owner and Editor Cheli Strumila said, “We have such a wonderful 24 hour nightlight and entertainment here. There’s something for everybody. It’s not just bars. There’s concerts and everything. Get out and enjoy life. We have one life so everyone needs to get out and enjoy it to the fullest.”
