Seafood prices during Lenten season

The start of the Lenten season means those observing the season are abstaining from meat every Friday until Easter.

If you’re looking for something tasty to replace it with, seafood is an option. Over at Quality Seafood, there is plenty to choose from to satisfy your cravings.

Seafood market prices vary throughout the year, but here’s a look at current costs at Quality. You can get a pound of regular boiled shrimp for $7.99 while snow crab legs run $27.99 a pound.

Mahi-Mahi weighs in at $9.99 a pound and right now you can get boiled crawfish for $4.99 a pound.

Currently, seafood is running about 30 percent higher as compared to last year due to shortages and shipping delays.
