Krewe of Gemini Night Parade
As one of the last parades to roll each year, the Krewe of Gemini Night Parade ended Mardi Gras with plenty of action and style.
Today’s cloudy weather didn’t stop hundreds of people from lining the streets of downtown Gulfport to celebrate the Krewe’s 48th carnival season. The parade started at 5:30 on 19th Street and ended near Gulfport City Hall with a celebratory toast.
This year’s Queen Leda and King Jupiter tell News 25 the family friendly parade is the best way to end Mardi Gras season. Krewe of Gemini King Joseph Dazet said, “We are going to leave it all out on the route. We’re going to set the bar so high for the folks coming behind us next year. It’s been nothing but a thrill ride. It’s like going to Disney World and riding that roller coaster for the first time. It’s amazing.”
