MGCCC hosts Grad Fest for students

Students preparing to take the next step in their lives attended Grad Fest on the Harrison County campus of MGCCC.

They were able to meet with more than 25 different colleges and universities, apply for graduation, and order class of 2022 graduation gear.

Along with preparing for the big day, students were able to take advantage of getting their resumes written, critiqued, and get information on financial aid and loan repayment. Director of Enrollment Services Dawn Buckley said, “Mississippi Gulf Coast really focuses on our students and making sure that what they are doing here today is going to affect them positively in their next steps and that we walk with them through every step of the way, from the time they start with us to move forward to graduation, either to move forward into the work force or to a university.”

Coordinator of Student Services Paige Cannon said, “We really care about our students. We want them to have that one-on-one experience and this really gives them that opportunity to meet one-on-one with the universities in person, on our campus, and they don’t have to go anywhere.”

Tomorrow, MGCCC will host Grad Fest on the Jackson County campus from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the student services center.
