Mississippi Manufacturers Association holding contest to find coolest thing made in MS

What’s the coolest thing made in Mississippi? Could it be your handy work?

Enter a product you created in the Magnolia State into the Mississippi Makers Challenge and find out.

The Mississippi Manufacturers Association launched the challenge sponsored by Hancock Whitney. This contest is open to all manufacturers in Mississippi and the winning product will be crowned the ‘coolest thing made in Mississippi.’

MMA President and CEO John McKay says the competition is also a chance to highlight all career opportunities in manufacturing. “Workforce and finding folks to work in Mississippi is a challenge. One of the things we want to do is highlight all the fantastic careers in manufacturing. Everything from technicians to engineers to accountants to human resources professionals. You can not only find a great job in manufacturing- you can find a great career.”

The nomination stage opened today and runs through March 11th. The winner will be announced April 13th.
