Lynn Meadows hosting annual Mardi Gras event Saturday

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for youngsters at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center.

The annual Children’s Mardi Gras Celebration begins at 10 a.m. Kids are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite costume and bring a decorated bike, tricycle, or wagon for the parade that starts at noon.

Bingo, the imagination playground, art activities, and Mardi Gras music with Blackwater Brass and karaoke are also on the agenda. Lynn Meadows Executive Director Cindy DeFrances said, “We just feel like at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center that we are a family fun, family friendly place where families can come and have a good time together. This is one place families can feel like their treating their families to events that are not always child-driven, but we make it so that it is a child-driven event.”

All activities are included with museum admission.
