One in custody after high speed chase in Harrison County
This afternoon a high speed pursuit led police officers through Biloxi and into Gulfport before coming to an abrupt stop.
According to Biloxi Police Department, twenty-six year-old James Michael Evitts II of Perkinston, Mississippi is in custody after a chase which began at Edgewater Mall, taking officers on a high speed chase before eventually leaving the roadway at the intersection of Pass and Teagarden Road in Gulfport.
Evitts was charged with felony eluding and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $150,000.
