Career day at North Gulfport Middle School

North Gulfport Middle School had a career day for their seventh and eighth grade students.
Nurses, doctors, and military were just a few of the presenters that spoke to the students, sharing their career journeys, typical workdays, and education requirements. Alum from Jackson State also spoke to students about starting early when looking for a university to attend.
Career day gives the students a chance to look at a variety of career choices. School Counselor Arneta Fairley said,“We would like all of our students to be college and career ready. One of the ways that we do that is to introduce them to different careers and give them an idea of what their future can be if they study hard.”
Students received brochures about companies as well as business cards from presenters.
