MS Council for Exceptional Children Holds Education Conference
The conference is for both teachers and parents and aims to make people aware of the services that are out there for students with special needs. The day consisted of workshops and professional development for teachers. The keynote speaker was State Superintendent of Education, Dr. Carey Wright.
Dr. Mario Miller, President of the Mississippi Council for Exceptional Children, says, “We have all kinds of innovative technologies out there available for students and families of students with special needs and we just want to get the awareness out there, that this is a parent conference as well as a teacher conference.”
The conference continues Friday with a keynote speaker from the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
