Preseason Watch List for Top Relief Pitcher Announced

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has revealed its pre-season watch list for stopper of the year. The award goes to the top relief pitcher in all of division I baseball. Right now there are 60 players in the running. One of them is Southern Miss closer Nick Sandlin, who set a school record with 12 saves last season as a freshman.
Mississippi State’s Ryan Rigby and Blake Smith both make the cut, as well as Wil Stokes from Ole Miss and Hunter Newman from LSU.
