Biloxi Children’s Walking Parade Rolls Saturday Morning

The annual Biloxi Children’s Walking Parade will roll Saturday at 10 a.m. More than 1,000 children have participated through the years and this year is set to be the biggest crowd yet.

Children ages 12 and under will have the opportunity to walk, ride bikes, skate, or be pushed in strollers and wagons throughout Howard Avenue and Reynoir Street. The parade will end at the Mardi Gras Museum in downtown Biloxi, where new activities for children have been added this year.

Bill Raymond, Historical Administrator for Biloxi, says, “We’re actually going to have art activities for the children. They can make masks, they can design a float, we have sand art. Queen Ixolib and King D’Iberville from years past are going to be there taking pictures with the children, so it should be a lot of fun.”
