Boil Water Notice in Gulfport

A boil water notice remains in effect for a large portion of North Gulfport.

The notice originally covered Duckworth Road from Tara Hill Drive east to Wind Rose Circle while a local contractor cut into a city water line to install a storm drain for a subdivision development.
It has been extended as far as grand bear golf course, including Harrison Central High School.
If you live in the areas from Duckworth Road north to Harrison Central, the city advises you to boil your water for at least 1 minute before consuming.
Crews have been testing water this morning and will continue tests tomorrow.
Gulfport city officials expect the boil water notice to be lifted on Friday.
