Vancleave man sentenced to years for sexual abuse

A Vancleave man accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl pled guilty to two counts of sexual battery.
Twenty-eight year-old Sterling Davidson was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 15 to serve without the possibility of parole followed by 15 years on post release supervision. He’s also required to pay thousands of dollars in fines including to the Mississippi Children’s Trust Fund.
The crime victim was a family friend of Davidson.
