95.3 The Gorilla Collects Donations
Today, donations were accepted at the Neighborhood Walmart on Pass Road to help our neighbors to the north that are recovering from the tornado.
The radio station 95.3 the Gorilla set up their truck in the parking of the Gulfport Walmart at 7 a.m. and then again at 3 p.m. they asked the public to bring out their clothing, non-perishable food, and blankets for the Hattiesburg and Petal victims.
On-air Personality Jessi Paige tells News 25 the support has been incredible. “We really need this to happen fast. There was a tornado that happened in Hattiesburg and Petal and people lost their lives. People lost everything they had. We are just here taking donations, non-perishable food items, clothes, just anything because they don’t have anything.”
Donations gathered today will be dropped off at the Hattiesburg Salvation Army Church tomorrow.
