Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra performed over the weekend
The Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra performed in Harrison and Jackson counties over the weekend.
The professional orchestra performed ‘Colors of Europe’ in Gulfport on Saturday and their first ever performance at Pascagoula Performing Arts Center on Sunday.
Sunday’s inaugural concert in Pascagoula was free to the public thanks to multiple sponsors.
For over 60 years, the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra has made it their mission to bring the symphony to as many people as they can. Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra President Cindy Lamb said, “Being a professional orchestra, the musicians are very talented. It just gives you the sense of going to the philharmonic and the diversity of the music. It’s not just Beethoven. It’s not just old European music. It’s music you hear everyday and you start understanding where your current music is coming from by listening to the orchestra.”
The orchestra only has two more shows for the rest of their season. Check out their website for details.
