Southern Miss RHP named National Pitcher of the Week

Southern Miss Friday starter Nick Sandlin is the recipient of some more high praise.
Today, the junior right hander was named National Pitcher of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
In game one versus the Bulldogs, Sandlin was downright nasty, throwing seven innings of shutout ball with nine strikeouts and only allowing four hits.
Remember he was the shutdown closer during his freshman and sophomore campaigns with the Eagles.
