COVID-19 Update: Singing River Health System reports 42% positivity rate

Singing River Health System is anticipating another busy day at its drive-thru COVID testing site in Ocean Springs.

Yesterday, they tested 739 people at the site on Bienville Boulevard. It’s a site they reopened this past Thursday due to the spike in cases.

Singing River tells News 25 in the last five days their lab has taken in more than 3,200 COVID tests, thanks to this site and other Singing River testing locations.

About 42 percent of those tests came back COVID positive.

As of this morning, Singing River Health System tells News 25 they have 55 COVID positive patients across its three hospitals. Eleven of those patients are in the ICU, three of which are on ventilators.
