Man hit by train in Ocean Springs still unidentified
Jackson County’s coroner says it is difficult to identify the body of a man hit by a train Monday in Ocean Springs.
Coroner Bruce Lynd Jr. spoke to our media partner the Sun Herald. He says the man listed as John Doe has no identifying marks. It’s also difficult to estimate his age due to facial and body trauma.
Fingerprints from the victim also did not turn up a match within the state of Mississippi’s database.
Lynd says people have been calling to see if the person might be a relative they have been unable to get in touch with over the holidays, but so far, no next of kin has been found.
