MHP increasing trooper presence for holiday season

Mississippi Highway Patrol is increasing their trooper presence to promote safe holiday travel.

The last thing you want for Christmas is probably a speeding ticket. Their Christmas holiday enforcement periods increased trooper visibility for three days and will end on Sunday.

During this campaign last year, they responded to 201 crashes with four fatalities and made 130 DUI arrests on state and federal highways.

So, buckle up, ignore your cell phone, and obey speed limits to make it a safe and merry Christmas for us all.
