Wild at Heart Rescue hosting ‘Pusharatas for Possum’ benefit
Wild at Heart Rescue stopped by News 25 this afternoon to talk about their upcoming Pusharatas for Possums event happening this weekend.
The rescue is known for its efforts rescuing and caring for injured or orphaned wildlife in South Mississippi, like Hank the Snake who slithered its way around the newsroom today.
You can help them continue their efforts and have a tasty treat all at once. Wild at Heart Rescue is serving Pusharatas, a Slovakian type donut for the event.
Donations given during the event help provide necessities like formula needed for the upcoming baby season. Missy Dubuisson with Wild at Heart Rescue said, “We couldn’t do this without the help of the community. Donations get us through. It’s very costly to take care of wildlife. This event helps us get the much-needed formula. Right now, everything has gone up in price. A normal pack of formula has gone up double. So, this will help us get started for the beginning of baby season.”
Pusharatas for Possums starts Saturday, December 18th at 10 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m.
