‘Christmas Connects’ Holiday event at the Pillars of Biloxi

Pillars of Biloxi is connecting seniors with children this holiday season by hosting their Christmas Connects event.

The Distinguished Gentlemen and the Boys and Girls Club of Ocean Springs sent residents at the Pillars of Biloxi their Christmas wish list and the residents and caregivers went out and bought gifts.

Tomorrow, the students will be able to receive their gifts and spend time with the residents.

Pillars of Biloxi Community Relations and Admissions Director Courtney Williams says it is important for the residents to receive company especially during the holiday season. “In nursing homes, a lot of times the residents do not have a lot of family. They don’t have small grandchildren. I think it’s the joy that the children provide during Christmas that the residents of a nursing home do not have.”

Christmas Connects is happening tomorrow at 4 p.m. at the Pillars of Biloxi.
