DVS Global Transport and Logistics hosting canned good drive
DVS Global Transport and Logistics is having a canned food drive to help locals in the community.
The drive is currently underway and will go until December 20th. Last year, the company collected more than 1,200 cans and this year the team has a goal of 1,500. As of today, DSV has collected about 1,000 cans of food.
All of the cans will be donated to the Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence.
The team believes that they may be able to push past the 1,500 can goal soon and eventually reach 2,000.
Only canned foods will be accepted for donation. DSV Solutions General Manager Matthew Nowakowski said, “Well just every year, you know, we’ve been very fortunate to be able to stay working throughout the pandemic, and it’s just an opportunity for everybody to give back to the community and help others who may not have been able to stay working. We also challenge our sister sites in the south region to collect as well and see who can collect the most cans and have a big, huge impact for the whole area.”
Donations will be accepted at 7990 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian.
