New Puppet Exhibit Coming to Mary C.

A new exhibit coming to the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center is taking puppets to a whole new level.
Starting Thursday night, “Shadow and Strings: the World of Puppets” will be the newest exhibit at the Mary C. The exhibit will feature detailed puppets by master puppeteers Michael Richardson and Peter Zapletal.
Zapletal worked for over 30 years with PBS in Jackson. He’s won over 50 national awards including five Emmy’s for television puppetry.
Richardson is considered one of the two most important shadow puppet artists in the world.
The exhibit will last until February 28th.
