Reports: LSU QB/ St. Stanislaus alum Myles Brennan to enter transfer portal
One of the top-rated high school quarterbacks to ever come out of Mississippi, St. Stanislaus alum Myles Brennan is ready to start a new chapter of his college football career.
As first reported by Rivals and later confirmed by LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron, the fifth-year senior is set to enter the NCAA transfer portal more than four years after signing with the Tigers in February 2017.
Brennan started the first three games of the 2020 campaign before suffering a torn abdominal muscle that ended his season.
He was then set to compete with Max Johnson for the starting job this summer, but broke his non-throwing arm during a fishing trip and has still yet to return.
Initially recruited by Les Miles, Brennan was a four-star recruit in Coach Orgeron’s first class as head coach, so perhaps Orgeron leaving the program after the season has something to do with Brennan’s decision to do the like.
During his time in Death Valley, the former Rock-a-Chaw has thrown for more than 1,700 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
