Two Arrested In Auto Burglaries

No good deed goes unpunished…but in this case two people walked away in handcuffs. Over the weekend, a Gautier Lieutenant Jeff Jensen was trying to help out a stranded motorist on I-10. Lieutenant Jensen was on routine patrol and the driver told him the car ran out of gas. Lieutenant Jensen and the motorist returned from getting gas to see two people speeding off from the motorist’s stranded car after just burglarizing it. After a short chase ending near Exit 68, Lieutenant Jensen found out not only did the couple inside the car burglarize that vehicle; they were also driving a stolen vehicle. Lieutenant Jensen arrested 46 year old Stanley Phillips for auto burglary and 39 year old Brandi Walker for possession of stolen property.
