Pascagoula Fire Department helping their brothers in need
The Pascagoula Fire Department has a booth inside the Jackson County Fair Convention Center selling raffle tickets to raise money for brothers in need.
The five-dollar raffle tickets will be available for sale throughout the length of the fair from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night until October 27th.
Cash donations to help the families are also accepted at the booth. Firefighter Winston Avara said, “The tickets are selling for $5 apiece. They’re going for the Latch and Mohler families. The loss of Captain Jacob Latch and for the Mohler family, it’s for ongoing medical expenses. We will be raffling off an MMP Sport 2-556 AR.”
The raffle tickets will be on sale until November 5th. On November 6th, Jambalaya plates and a silent auction also benefiting the families will take place in downtown Pascagoula.
