Poplarville Hornets Fall in 4A Title Game

It just wasn’t meant to be for the Poplarville Hornets. They fell to Lafayette 27-12 in the 4A state title game on Saturday.
Poplarville wraps up with season with a record of 12-2 and had been riding a 12 game winning streak on the road to Starkville.
Still a record setting year for the Hornets who won South State for the first time in school history.
