Great Kindness Day Challenge

Dozens of schools all across the Coast are taking part in the Great Kindness Challenge.
The Kindness Challenge is a national initiative for schools, encouraging proactive bullying prevention through acts of kindness.
Today, fifth graders from Crossroads Elementary in Gulfport took time out of their day and their P.E. class to do some random acts of kindness.
They were all aiming to make their school a better and cleaner place. P.E. Teacher Derrick Mount said, “So today is the 100th day of school and this week is devoted to kindness week. Today, we did campus wide cleanup with the fifth grade students basically just to clean up after yourself and not to litter. It’s always nice to keep the school wide grounds clean. It’s nice for the kids to get outside and clean up.”
Students also swept the gym and cleaned up any trash that may have been left in the gym.
