Cruisers say goodbye to the Coast

On Sunday, Cruisers said goodbye to the Gulf Coast as the final ceremony in Centennial Plaza wrapped up the 25th year of Cruisin’ the Coast.

The final ceremony included the yearly raffle car giveaway. The lucky Cruiser this year is Ralph Martin from the Kiln who won a prized 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air convertible.  $25,000 in prize money was also divvied among 50 lucky cruisers.

Cruisin’ the Coast donated a combined $40,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation during the ceremony.

Next year’s raffle car will be a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro R8 Convertible. Cruisin’ the Coast Executive Director Woody Bailey said, “It exceeded my expectations big time. This is a phenomenal turnout. We were thinking we were going to have around 9,000. We ended up with 9,496. So, much larger than I had thought we were going to have.”

Registration for Cruisin’ the Coast 2022 is now open.
