UPDATE: Bay St. Louis PD locates missing person Barbara Bond Prater

The Bay St. Louis Police Department over the weekend issued a press release saying that Barbara Bond Prater had been located.

Police Chief Gary Ponthieux said Prater had been taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Bay Police issued a press release earlier in the week seeking the public’s assistance in locating Prater, who was reported missing from her home on the 400 block of Ruella Street in Bay St. Louis.

Prater was last seen by her family members on September 28, 2021. Prater is a 68-year-old, white female who suffers from dementia.

Prater is suspected to be on foot and does not drive a vehicle.
